What a whirlwind of energy, fun, and excitement! Active Week 2025 was absolutely action-packed from start to finish, with every day bringing new challenges, laughs, and unforgettable memories for all.
From tennis to self-defense, Irish dance to rugby, and everything in between – our timetable was bursting with variety. Students got to try their hand at badminton, cricket, hurling, hula hooping, yoga, zumba, and majorettes. Whether trying a new sport or perfecting a familiar skill, everyone brought their best effort and a fantastic attitude.
A big crowd favourite was the annual 6th Class Basketball Tournament. The energy in the hall was electric as we cheered on our classmates battling it out on court. The excitement didn’t stop there — we had the added thrill of watching our teachers take on the half-time shoot-out challenge, with lots of laughs and some surprisingly slick moves!
All that activity worked up quite the appetite, so we were more than delighted to be treated to a BBQ and ice cream to round off the week. It was the perfect way to kick off summer vibes and reward ourselves for all the hard work and participation.
But for Room 11, the standout moment came on our mountain trip. We laced up our boots and hiked up to the Hellfire Club, where we were met with stunning views and fresh mountain air. After a well-earned picnic in the woods, we spent time building forts from tree branches — a brilliant mix of creativity, teamwork, and outdoor adventure.
It truly was a week we won’t forget in a hurry — full of movement, smiles, and memories to last a lifetime. A huge thank you to all the teachers, coaches, and main organiser Ms. Durkan who made it all possible.
Here’s to an active, happy summer ahead!
