Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál was established in 1939 by the Oblate Fathers.

We are a Catholic co-educational school catering for over 300 pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class.

Our school has a teaching staff of 24. This includes 16 Mainstream Class Teachers, 7 Special Education Teachers, a Home School Community Liason Co-ordinator and our Principal.

We also have 5 Special  Needs Assistants, a full time Secretary and Caretaker.
The school is one in which a Christian attitude is fostered, where there is a mutual respect between teachers and pupils, where the full talents of each  individual pupil are allowed to blossom and where parents are very much a part of the process.
There are a wide variety of exta-curricurlar activities available to the pupils including Irish dancing, Gaelic football, rugby, soccer, basketball, athletics, cyber skills, art, cooking and drama.

Pupils are regularly involved in school concerts, Christmas Carol Service, art exhibitions and the Young Scientists’ Exhibition. Educational trips and tours are a regular feature of the school programme.
Pupils in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál receive a well-rounded, balanced education in a happy, secure environment.
