For the month of January, Senior Infants have been learning all about the Antarctica.
Our class explored the Antarctica theme during Aistear where they constructed a variety of igloos and penguins in the Junk Art station, created igloos and Antarctica sleighs from Lego and created fake snow for our Antarctica Messy Play station. The children learned all about the different animals you can find in the Antarctica and were very intrigued by the Emperor Penguins. Our class really enjoyed reading the book ‘The Emperor’s Egg’. We were learning so much information about these Penguins we decided to make some Emperor Penguin projects. The class really enjoyed the creativity of the projects.
