5th class got to experience one of the most important buildings in Irish history – Dublin Castle. Originally built as a medieval fortress and later occupied by Viking settlements. Despite catching fire in the late 1600s, there are remnants of the old castle still there today that we got to explore as well as the immaculate refurbishments since and even some that are still ongoing today. We might be lucky enough to visit again next year and get to explore the developments of one of the main towers.
It was also so interesting to explore the various uniforms that the Garda wore in the past compared with today at the Garda Museum.
Take a look at some snaps from our trip!
