Erasmus+ project for Staff Training – Art Education

In SMGS we have benefitted from being part of a funded Erasmus+ project to build our confidence and skills in teaching Art. As part of the project, 7 staff members travelled to Venice in 2022 to complete a Teaching and Learning through Art course. During the course we got to learn some great new strategies for teaching Art and even got to try some fascinating hands on Art activities such as construction through paper. We as teachers and SNAs loved this activity and couldn’t wait to take it back to the children in SMGS. The whole school got to try this creative construction challenge and absolutely loved how open-ended it was!
