Making Brigid’s Crosses in Room 5

Room 5 have been working very hard learning all about St. Brigid and old Irish traditions. The children enjoyed exploring how people long ago celebrated St. Brigid’s Day and what it means in Ireland today. They designed their own cosy cloaks and had great fun making St. Brigid’s Crosses using real rushes, showing their creativity and amazing hand-eye coordination skills!
