Room 10 visit Gary the Gardener

Room 10 were delighted to be invited down to visit Gary the Gardener’s blooming garden full of such a variety of fruits and vegetables that First Class had sown throughout the year. From onions, potatoes, peas and strawberries to chives, chocolate mint and spearmint, there were lots! It was nice to hear how Gary and his first class team worked to plant, grown and take care of them. Gary explained to all how easy it is to grow your own fruit and vegetables from home and encouraged everyone to give it a go. Some children in Room 10 were able share about some fruit and vegetables they have grown at home with their parents and grandparents. Gary had even prepared some pea, chives, strawberries and mint for everyone to taste – it is true to say the strawberries were a hit & are definitely in season! We really look forward to our next visit!
