Student Council Trip to the Office of Children’s Ombudsman

Our Student Council enjoyed a memorable and inspiring visit to the Office of the Children’s Ombudsman — the first outing of its kind for SMGS! We were welcomed into a beautiful and inviting space featuring beanbags, a sensory room, and even a cinema room. Brianna, our wonderful host, led a detailed and engaging workshop on children’s rights, sparking great discussion and reflection. Together, we explored ways to strengthen our own Student Council moving forward. While we didn’t get to meet the current Ombudsman, Dr. Niall Muldoon, students left heartfelt handwritten messages for him on the interactive whiteboard walls. A big thank you to everyone involved — this is just the beginning of more exciting adventures for our Student Council!
