On Wednesday 22nd April, we went on our school tour to Newgrange Farm. We had a long bus journey to our destination but we kept the driver entertained with our lovely rendition of ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’. Once we arrived, we had an action packed day holding and petting animals such as lambs, chicks, kids, pigs, horses and bunny rabbits. We fed the chickens, ducks, geese and turkey. We also gave the lambs milk from their bottles. We saw cows, pheasants, goats, donkeys and lots of other animals. We had lots of fun playing on the ride on tractors, hide and seek in the hay maze, plaing at the water play area, the sandpit and the tunnels. We had an outdoor picnic after all the fun and everyone was starving!! Finally, we returned to school by bus with many sleepy heads on the bus home!!! All the boys and girls said ‘It was the Best Day Ever’! Memories for a lifetime.
